That’s right, folks. The newly re-vamped Blog of a Mad White Nerd is officially live! It’s been a long time coming, and we’re proud to finally be up and running for your viewing pleasure!
What you’re seeing at the time of this post is the core element of the site, but this isn’t all we’re doing! There are a few things we’re working on to add to your experience here at MWN:
- Forums – Since you’re already here, why not stay and chat a while? We’ll have a forum available soon so that you can discuss all sorts of things with all of the crew here at MWN as well as each other, whether that be an in-depth discussion on any of our articles, a general discussion about the topics we cover, or even just idle banter! This is the next major step for us here at MWN, and we hope to have the Forum for the Nerds available as soon as possible! Until then, feel free to comment below with what sort of forums you would like to see us provide!
- Dedicated Articles – We’re already in the process of recruiting other writers in order to provide as much desirable content as possible. In the near future, look forward to dedicated article series on certain topics such as strategy articles for all sorts of gaming, tips and tricks for a variety of operating systems like Android, Windows, and Linux, and even a series on how YOU can start your own blog and be good at it!
- Guest Authors – We’re not selfish by any means. We’re talking with authors from other blogs and sites around the web in order to collaborate and bring both of our audiences together. These authors could also be making regular appearances with some of the dedicated articles that I described previously, so keep an eye out!
- Downloads Section – As of this writing, it’s empty. That will hopefully change soon, though, because as we continue to add things such as tutorials, program reviews, etc. we will provide the files that are necessary to it all, hosted right here at MadWhiteNerd.com! Please note, however, that we will NOT be hosting any sort of pirated material. Anything that is not already freely available elsewhere, unless we’re given exclusive permission to post it, will not be available in our downloads.
- A Voice for the People – While we know a lot about what’s hot in the nerd world, we can’t possibly know what everyone else would like to know. If you want to see a specific tutorial or news bit here at MWN, let us know! Sound off in the comments (and, in the future, the forums) with anything you’d like to see featured on our site, and we’ll do everything in our power to give you what you want. - A Voice by the People – As of this posting, we’ve opened up our Editor’s e-mail to everyone! Think you have what it takes to write for us? Want some resumé experience as a writer? Show us what you’ve got! Write up a piece that is relevant to our site, and e-mail it to our editor. If we like what you do, we’ll set you up as a writer here at the site!
These are just the main things that we’re working on. Who knows what all else we’re likely to do? So stay tuned and find out! Some things to look forward to in the next couple of days:
- An up-to-date guide on softmodding the Nintendo Wii.
- A product review and some tips on the Acer Iconia A500 tablet running Android 3.1
- Some Magic: the Gathering strategy by one of our first guest authors!
- Other technology and gaming news as it occurs.
